Participants will: understand the background leading up to the hospital's lawsuit against HHS and be updated on the status of the case; learn the details of the M.D. of Florida's order (and subsequent court rulings) on Amendment 7 and patient safety work product; and learn to apply the court's reasoning in efforts to protect patient safety work product from Amendment 7 discovery requests. Presenters will discuss other avenues for defending patient safety work product.
