In a recent federal court decision (TGH Vs Azar) the court upheld the important protections that the federal Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Act (PSQIA) provides for hospital critical self-analysis work product. This was an important decision offering much-needed clarity in the wake of two Florida Supreme Court decisions that seemed to favor state laws.

This Webinar will explain the recent ruling and implications that the preemption clause in the PSQIA was intended to supersede any state law or court rulings and that documents that were created for and submitted to patient safety organizations are protected patient safety work product.
