Membership in FSHRMPS is open to professionals whose job responsibilities include healthcare risk management or patient safety or who agree to support the mission, vision, and code of professional responsibility of the Society.
FSHRMPS has three categories of membership:
INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP – $95
Individuals who are actively involved in healthcare risk management, patient safety or related functions in healthcare facilities licensed in Florida. Individuals who are consultants or are employed by Business Partners / Vendors who provide insurance, legal, risk management or patient safety solutions. Note it may take up to 24 hours to process a new member application.

STUDENT MEMBERSHIP – $50
Full-time students enrolled in accredited universities and community colleges who are not employed full-time or students participating in administrative residencies in accredited Universities or Community Colleges. A copy of the individual’s student I.D. is required with the membership application. Student Membership shall be limited to one year from initial membership enrollment. Student Members may not vote or hold elected office in the Society but may serve on Committees. Note it may take up to 24 hours to process a new member application. You may receive your New Members credentials prior to the approval of your application. Once the application is approved your credentials will become active.

EMERITUS MEMBERSHIP – $50
Individuals who have been a Member of the Society in good standing for at least ten (10) years and are retired from employment in healthcare risk management or patient safety. Emeritus Members must be in good standing at the time of retirement and must request Emeritus Membership in writing. Emeritus Members may not vote or hold an elected office in the Society, but may serve on Committees. Note it may take up to 24 hours to process a new member application. You may receive your New Members credentials prior to the approval of your application. Once the application is approved your credentials will become active.

CORPORATE DISCOUNT
FSHRMPS is pleased to provide a corporate discount for employers who make an investment to pay for the yearly membership fees on behalf of their risk management and patient safety professionals. Employers can support 10 or more employees at the discounted rate of $50 per member.
